**Background:** Definitely bugs me to have stray hairs stuck in my brush and struggle trying to get my hairbrushes clean as possible.**Build Quality:** this is the biggest weakness of this Brush. It just feels cheap and thin cheap plastic. Also, the brush bristles are kind of pointy and don't feel good on the scalp. I think the bristles on the brush are a little short also.**Function:** so the way you operate this, Brush is you twist the middle part of the handle and the bristles of the brush emerge. And then when you're done brushing, you twist the middle part of the handle the other directions and those bristles retract. So when you were brushing your hair, if there's any hair stuck in the bristles as soon as you retract the bristles, you can easily wipe the brush surface clean. It's kind of neat and innovative. Definitely a way for you to protect your Brush while traveling, but also if you are obsessive about cleaning the hair out of your brush, just does it instantly and effectively.I really like the idea to Brush. I just think the bristles could be of better quality and the overall construction could've been better material so it feels better in your hand. It feels more of a novelty than a Brush that I would want to use every day. This might make a nice travel brush. You could stick it in a bag purse I'm not worried about the bristles getting bent or covered in nasty stuff.

The media could not be loaded. This is very innovative. I cannot tell you how often I have to fit to clean my brush from the strands of my hair to left over debris like conditioner or product buildup. So what I like about this brush is the self cleaning and you just turn the handle to retract the bristles. The brush itself it great it has a long handle. The brush is hard and isn¡¯t for tender headed people. The bristles doesn¡¯t have flexibility so I personally won¡¯t use in my hair anymore. Probably just to brush my wigs. Overall I think it¡¯s an good purchase

I was really excited to try this retractable hair brush because cleaning regular brushes is always a pain, and this design makes it so much easier. The retractable feature works exactly as described and makes removing hair a breeze¡ªdefinitely the best part of the brush. That said, the overall quality is disappointing. Mine arrived with a few deep scratches on the back, and the brush itself feels very lightweight and cheap. The bristles are hard plastic and can be pretty rough on the scalp. You really have to use light pressure, or it starts to feel like you¡¯re scratching your scalp. For the price, I expected something that felt a bit more durable and comfortable. The concept is great, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. With better materials, this could be a really awesome brush.

I don't think that this brush would hold up to daily use for very long. All of the weight is in the top of the brush, which leads me to believe the plastic handle is pretty thin. The retractable bristles are easily opened and closed by a twist of the handle. They are an easy way to help clean hair out of the brush, but they don't extend very far, so depending on how thick your hair is, it may not reach your scalp. There also aren't any tips on the bristles, so they aren't the most comfortable when brushing. With all of that being said, I do think that this brush is an OK option to keep in a gym bag, or to keep in your purse. It does what it's supposed to, it brushes your hair, and the design is easy to use to clean the hair out. For the price there are much better options, but they aren't as easy to clean.

I shed a lot of hair when I brush it, so I thought this brush would be a really useful thing to get because I am constantly struggling to clean my hair brushes. It does work well in that regard. The handle is easy to twist, and it retracts the bristles making it so that you can just swipe your hand or a wet wipe over the brush to remove the hair. So, very easy to use. It's a good size also.I wish that it could have been a little more curved than just flat. I'd like if it contoured my head. I'm a little spoiled with those types of brushes, but perhaps it would have been a conflict with the way the brush works. Also the bristles are thick and very stiff plastic with flat ends. I understand that because of the structure of the brush it was probably not possible to put little ball ends on the brush (slightly larger holes would have allowed for retraction), but I found it a little painful to brush from my scalp with this. I'm not tender headed so those who are may find this brush too painful. It also has a warning not to use with high heat for longer periods of time, so heat styling with it may not be a good ideaOverall it's a really neat concept. It could be amazing with a few tweaks.

  1. Keep in mind that these bristles are short. I measured it to be shut shy of half inch long.As long as you can work with the bristles, this hairbrush works amazingly well. The bristles retract/extend by twisting the handle. It’s portable and easy to carry.I don’t think this works for someone with a lot of hair. But if you can live with 1/2″ bristles, then it’s great.

  2. I have to add benefit of this brush to the manufacturer’s claims for it. It will be great for taking with me on a trip. I don’t have to worry about crushing the brush since I can just rotate the handle and hide the bristles.Normally I buy brushes based on how well they deal with tangles and long hair. I had never really considered buying one because of how easy it is to clean, but I love the feature. On normal brushes, I hate having old hair perpetually stuck at the base of the bristles and I also hate bending bristles to try to painstakingly clean everything out. I’m not entirely sure how this one will work over the long run but for now I’m enjoying the fact that I can just turn the handle and wipe all the hair off into the trash. By necessity, the brush head is largely hollow but it does make the brush seem rather cheap. The plastic doesn’t bend, though, and if I smack it against my hand, it feels sturdy enough. The bristles aren’t quite as good at going through tangles as some of my brushes that are specifically designed for that. It will go through most of my hair but might get caught up once or twice. The bristles are a little more on the stiff side as opposed to the soft side. It’s a little bit of a trade-off between how easy the brush is to clean and how it deals with tangles. I have hair that tangles easily so I think a lot of people will have even less trouble with this brush than I do. For now, I’m giving it a 5-star rating. It gets through my hair and it’s easy to clean. I plan to use this regularly as my primary hair brush for a while and if it starts to develop issues, I will update this post and rating.

  3. Neat way to clean your brush, just a twist of the handle and the tines go into the base making it easy to peel off the hair. The brush is a good size but the tines are really quite short. It’s good for touchups or after the shower, but I found it a little difficult to use on dry tangled hair. The tines are soft and it feels good on the scalp. Overall a nice brush to have for travel, since you can retract the tines easily!

  5. The only negative thing I can say about this is it just feels a bit cheaply made, but overall I like the brush. It works well, and the retractable bristles mechanism does what it’s meant to do. No more hair stuck in the brush, so that is nice. The bristles themselves are rather short, so I’m not sure how well this will work for thicker hair, but it works well for my fine/thin hair. I don’t have any static from it. It is easy to use and easy to clean. The bristles are a bit stiffer than I expected, but I don’t mind it. They feel nice on my scalp. Overall I am happy with this product and would recommend it.
